Capcom files trademark for "DMC" // 캡콤의 상표. "DMC(Devil May Cry)"

Capcom has had the franchise going for years, but now that they've filed a new trademark for "DMC", rumors of a new Devil May Cry game began to rumble anew. Capcom has yet to make any announcement about Dante's next gig, but things are looking like they're about to. There might befour game announcements from them at TGS, after all.

 

Capcom R&D head Keiji Inafune did mention a "fifth chapter" in the DMC series recently, saying thatit'll be more Westernized to encourage more sales in the region. Apart from that, nothing has come out of Capcom about Devil May Cry.

 

 

The trademark, filed September 9th, is just like most trademarks we see - the picture of vagueness. "DMC" is good for use with video game software, but also for screensavers and mobile phone ringtones. A lot of possible uses, but even so, similar filings have turned out to be games in the past.
