loaaSince the demo was released, Square Enix has provided Lord of Arcana with additional quests that you can download for free. Even now that the game has been released in Japan, the publisher doesn't see why they have to stop. The quests are still coming, still awesome, and still free of charge.

 

Two quests have gone live at Japan's PlayStation Store earlier, and Square Enix plans to have more over there every week. The prolific RPG publisher also announced collaboration content with instant noodle makers at Nissin, giving you HP restorative donbei to aid you in your questing.

 

The free quest format has helped the Lord of Arcana demo score one million downloads, so let's see how the full game does in the weeks to come.

Fans hoping for a PS3 incarnation of the next installment of the Valkyria series will be a little disappointed as Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu confirmed that Valkyria Chronicles 3 is heading to the PSP once again.

=> PS3용 발큐리아의 차기작을 기다리고 있는 팬들은 일본 게임 잡지 패미통이 전장의 발큐리아 3가 PSP용으로 나온다는 것을 확인했고 이에 대해 실망을했다.



According to the latest issue of the mag, the third installment of the Valkyria Chronicle saga will be released on January 27, 2011 in Japan. It will feature a set of new characters and an original story which takes place in the same time period as the original game that will revolve around a group called the "Nameless."


=> 잡지의 최근 이슈에 따르면 전장의 발큐리아 3가 2011/01/27에 일본에서 발표된다고 한다.

Capcom has had the franchise going for years, but now that they've filed a new trademark for "DMC", rumors of a new Devil May Cry game began to rumble anew. Capcom has yet to make any announcement about Dante's next gig, but things are looking like they're about to. There might befour game announcements from them at TGS, after all.

 

Capcom R&D head Keiji Inafune did mention a "fifth chapter" in the DMC series recently, saying thatit'll be more Westernized to encourage more sales in the region. Apart from that, nothing has come out of Capcom about Devil May Cry.

The trademark, filed September 9th, is just like most trademarks we see - the picture of vagueness. "DMC" is good for use with video game software, but also for screensavers and mobile phone ringtones. A lot of possible uses, but even so, similar filings have turned out to be games in the past.

Capcom has announced that the latest iteration of the blockbuster monster slaying franchise,Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, will be out in Japan on December 1st. 
=> 캡콤은 블록버스터 몬스터 수렵게임인 몬스터헌터 포터블 3를 일판으로 12월 1일에 출시할 예정이라고 발표했다.


Japanese gaming mag Famitsu broke the release date in its latest issue. It also reveals that the game will be playable at this months Tokyo Game Show. The demo will offer three quest, both in single player play and online play for eager hunters:

=>일본 게임잡지 Famitsu(패미통인듯..) 에서 출시날을 깬 것을 최고의 화제로 잡았습니다. 또한 TGS에서 이번 달에 계시할 것입니다. 데모판은 싱글,멀티를 바라는 헌터들에게 3개의 퀘스트를 제공합니다

  • For beginners: a battle with Royal Ludroth in a deserted island stage => 뉴비를 위한 무인도에서의 Royal Ludroth 수렵.
  • For mid to high level players: a hunt against multiple new monsters, Aoashira and Jeo-ouga => 중, 고수를 위한 새로운 몬스터들을 수렵. Aoashira와 Jeo-ouga.
  • For pros: a battle with Tigrex in a volcano stage => 프로를 위한 화산맵에서의 티가렉스 수렵. 



There's no word yet on a time frame for international release of the game but we can expect more info from Capcom at the said event. Stay tuned.

Japan is the bastion of role-playing games, so when you're looking at the Tokyo Game Show, you'd think they'd have RPGs left and right in the expo. That won't be the case this year. The total number of RPGs to be featured in the show are just half of last year's count, while the number of shooters have nearly doubled.
